 2003 Escape intermittently sStalls with A/C on during accelleration
My 2003 Escape has over the past few months run into a stalling condition that is percipitated from running the AC for a period of about 45 minutes or so, during "errand running" operation. During those times when I am running around town, stopping here and there(meaning starting and shutting off the egine), the car will eventually stall. Ity then takes a period of time, about 15 minutes or so before I can restart the engine again.
The check engine light does appear, but my Ford dealer not been able to determine the nature of the problem. He has checked the codes, but only one returning a "crankshaft sensor issue" was returned.
If I drive for a long distance, this issue does not ocurr. The only way I have found I can prevent this from happening, is to NOT run the AC.
Any ideas?
