Default can plugged converters cause engine damage
Hi all,

First time posting, my dad has a 2004 v6 escape with 62K kms on it. A while ago the truck lost power and it actually busted open the egr valve. That was replaced then he noticed shuddering, sputtering ,etc. Turns out his motor is shot according to the dealer. He also said that 2 catalyic converters are plugged. I am trying to help him fight as they are saying its out of warranty. My question: could plugged converters cause so much engine pressure that it could actually cause engine damage?
