restausn Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 1	1993 Escort LX Fuel Cutout light on. Will not start I ran the car out of gas. I poured more fuel in the tank. Maybe sediment got in the fuel line. I tried to use ether to gt it started, and it ran on the ether for about 7-8 seconds and died. The fuel cutout light comes on when the starter is engaged. I tried to press the Fuel Cout-Off button in the trunk, but the button seems to be in the down position and will not move. I saw a forum entry on a similar problem that said to check the fuel pump relay. When the key is in the "run" position, the fuel pump cannot be heard. Any help here? Thanks! Rick
