Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default brake pedal issue

The engine is on but in park. Tap the brake pedal and there is this clicking noise underneath or within the shift stick. When I put it in drive the clicking stops. Any idea's to what this may be?

this sound is normal?? To diffuse this sound should I replace that shift solenoid thing? Or will the sound retire itself?

Mine use to do it to from time to time, never had it checked, and caused no problems, and I would have heard something from my mechanic when he did my break system recently. So unless it causing problems beside being irratting, keep on driving it should be fine unless you wanna have it checked, your choice.
