Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default 1993 1.9L gets fuel, cranks, but no spark

I recently had the engine out of my ford escort to replace the clutch on it. Before i started this project, it ran fine (aside from the clutch). i just recently got the engine back in and got everything connected. When i first hooked it up, i idioticly hooked up the battery the wrong way. when i did this, the windshield wipers wen when i tried to start the engine, so i found the problem pretty quick. when i got it hooked up correctly, the engine cranked but did not start. the rest of the car functions correctly. i got new sparc plugs, tested the coils in teh distributor, and did a test of the eec which told me that the electro drive fan was not functioning. i have no idea what that is because my radiator fan is working correctly and today when i did the eec test, it gave me an unreadable code. i'm guessing that the eec isn't fried and it could be the computer that powers the coils. i appreciate any suggestions
