Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default 95 only starts with starting fluid, any help?

ok so here's the deal i have a 1995 ford escort with a 1.9L auto. this thing is having a starting problem here are things i have checked and symptoms.
fuel pressure when not-running-40psi fuel pressure when i get it running-30psi disconected fuel pressure regulator vacume hose and jump's to 40 psi then when pluged back in goe's back to 30 psi so obviosly reg. is working fuel pressure appears to be good in both non/running. put new plug's/wire's and it does have spark, checked all grounds on vehichle, fuse's,relay's and battery connection's, replaced complete ignition. pulled throttle-body and diss-assembled/cleaned throttle-body and ran cleaner thru it when running to make sure injector's/intake were clean, ran lucas cleaner thru tank. this thing will runn perfect if i start it with starting fluid. timing is dead on. please help any sugestions would be greatly appretiated. computer shows no code's. thanks -nick

i'v done all of that already and no differance, this thing now only seams to start with starting fluid or with a battery jumper on it. i have already checked ground's and power to starter/alternator, and replaced battery. new terminal's, cleaned all ground's i could find, new fuel pump, regulator, coolant switch, coolant temp, cacuum line's,pcv valve, fuel filter, iac, vacuum regulator's/control's........anything else would be appretiated.... ohh and replaced ignition/switch, fuel pump relay.

What fuel pressure are you supposed to have?
Could it be that 30 is too low?
On my bronco it is supposed to be 35 psi
