Brought my 1996 escort in for an inspection. Failed and was told that the problem was due to a faulty OBD reading. My mechanic reset the OBD and told me to run the car for 300 miles, bring it back so he could get an accurate reading. So far its been almost 800 miles and still cant get an accurate reading. He thinks I may have to replace the OBD. Does this sound right or normal? IF so, where would I get a replacement (I assume that it's not something that I can buy at PEPBOYS...

). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
