98 escort radio and stalling

I have a 98 escort I am workin on for a friend, that is simply giving me a hard time. I cannot get the radio to turn on. I've checked the fuses, even the 6 that are kinda hidden. All are in good shape. I have yet to check the actual radio itself. Have broken collar bone and not able to really do work yet.

Also, the car stalls if the gas and clutch are pressed at the same time. But only seems to do this over 40mph. It stalls quick and smooth. I can drop the clutch and car will restart. I can also just turn the ignition and the car turns back on, no problem. I've looked around the best that I can right now, but nothing that suggests issues. When I heal I'm going to start checking more into it stalling.

Anyways, just trying to get some ideas in what to look at when i get better.




Its spring time - watch out for motorcycles. Give plenty of room. We don't have metal surrounding us!!!
