Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default Wix vs Motorcraft vs Fram fuel filter??

My 1996 escort manual recommends Motorcraft fuel filters, but a car mechanic told me Wix one's are better, and local Kragen store is selling only Fram fuel filters. But I haven't read any positive reviews about Fram. So should I go online and order Wix or Motorcraft filter or go with the Fram fuel filter, which is cheaper also. What would you guys recommend?

I read a study that compared various filters, and wix, motorcraft, and purolators were all rated well.

Fram is crap, hit up your local Wal-Mart for Motorcraft. NAPA makes a good filter too. Did I mention Fram is crap?

LOL... Mark tell us how you really feel about Fram
I am pretty sure that NAPA's brand is WIX.

Wix and Motorcraft are good choices. Thirty years ago Fram was OK also. Like the gentleman above noted, Fram is CRAP today. I wouldn't put a Fram filter on a Yugo!!!!

Walmart carries some Motorcraft filters.

I used to buy Fram. But then, I am old enough to remember when they were owned by Bendix.
