Default Ford Moonroof question
Hello ALL!

I have an 01 ZX2 and I need to replace the moonroof in it. It's aftermarket and parts are no longer available ANY WHERE ON LINE! I even went to a few junk yards with no luck.. It's a Farmont Skylite F1000. They were bought out by Inalfa and they have a replacement but it's $400.

What I am trying to find are measurements for the Ford Factory moonroofs installed in ZX2s hoping to find a match and then go to the junkyard and get the entire thing a lot cheaper!

I haven't had any luck finding measurements. I looked at Ford Parts Direct and a few other places but not quite every where. If anyone can help, I would REALLY appreciate it.

Measure the sunroof you have on your vehicle now and then see how it measures up to a factory one in a junkyard.

You can even make a cardboard template of your opening of your entire sunroof and take it with you to the junkyard and match it up.

I went to the junkyard today and bought a power sunroof assembly for $40! I only had to cut 3/4" to get the aftermarket one to fit! The Ford Factory roofs were a little to small to fit, but I was lucky and found a Webasto in perfect working condition.. A little elbow grease and she's good to go!!
