 Slight jerk when steering?
Hi, this is my first post here. I got my first car last week, it is a 2001 Ford Escort (the four door kind). The guy who sold it to me replaced the timing belt, brake pads, did an oil change. It is a repossessed car with 112,00 miles.
Back to the point, when I steer the wheel from its initial position I will feel a slight jerk around 15degrees from straight forward. When returning it to its initial position I don't feel anything. The jerk is in both directions. It is nothing drastic and I am getting used to it, but it sometimes can make me steer a little more than I want to and that seems pretty dangerous to me. Not to mention it's my first car and I'd like to make it last for a bit. Thank you for your help! |
