No fuel either?
The PCM relay triggers the fuel pump relay. So if you are really lacking obth, I would suspect that.

The ccrm may be bad. It contains the ac, fuel pump, cooling fan and pcm power relays.

well i swapped the CCRM with one from a 2001 escort the SN was the same so i knew it was the same one. didnt work. so im really glad i ddint just go buy one and not have it work. i have had it hooked up to a computer when it wouldnt start and it said it could not communicate. also when the car wont start the radiator cooling fan is running. confirmed this last night hopped in and waited to see if fan was on it wasnt turned key and it started. so could it be some weird heat sensor that is way to sensitive i car only start the car in afternoon if its parked in shade. ok any help again much appreciated

Did you replace the ccrm with a known good one? When you turn the key to run without starting the engine you should hear the fuel pump run for a second or so.

yes the ccrm was off a running escort. when the car is hot all that turns on is the cooling fan on the radiator. again no fuel spark.

Have you checked for good grounds (there's more than one) or shorts? The fact you can't connect to the pcm when the engines hot says it may not be getting power at that point. When you say hot do you mean normal operating temp?

well yes and no if i drive the car for half an hour and then try to hop in in it 5 minutes later it wont start so yes that would be normal operating temp. but these last 2 weeks in michigan have been high 80 and high humidity and if i park the car in the sun it wont start. park it in the shade for 2 hours and it will start. so that doesnt define normal operating temp. ohh and one time i had it park in the shade got it to start shut it off and then was like wait i need to move it back some more into the shade and 10 seconds later it wouldnt start.
