My daughters 2000 Escort is completly dead. The battery has 12.3 volts and shows full charge on the charger. All power to everything but the door dinger is dead. I checked all the fuses and couldn't find a bad one. Battery terminals are clean. The 100 amp fuse was the first one I checked. So any suggestions on where to start looking for the problem ?? It's starting to look like it was a bad cable end on the ground post of the battery. I just cleaned it a week ago, so I'll change it tonight just to be safe.

You probably found the problem, especially if EVERYTHING is dead.
Also just FYI a fully charged battery should read 12.66 volts.
If it is not holding a charge, it may be time for a new one.

12.6V or higher: 100% charge
12.4V - 12.6V: 75-100%
12.2V - 12.4V: 50-75%
12.0V - 12.2V: 25-50%
11.7V - 12.0V: 0-25%
11.7V or less: 0% (and probably not capable of being recharged).
