Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default Great... HELP MY ZX2!

Haha ok so ive had my Zx2 for a few years now... Its a 1999 and the problems seem to just keep building up. I just fixed all the brakes ( quessing that was normal wear with 75k on the engine ) Transmission just died, along with the clutch. As the car was sitting in the street waiting for its new tranny and clutch i decieded to attempt to put the BOMZ racing intake from ebay on my car and im not able to get any of the dam sensors to fit in it... Not To mention that theres no way im able to get a new car i need to figure out if there was something eles i needed for the intake.

A note to ford - GET A BETTER FUCKING TRANSMISSION FOR THE ZX2!

help me....

Hey what exactly happened to your transmission? Cuz I have a 5 speed with 85K on it, and it would be good to know what to look for it it's failing. (not that I've had any problems to suspect that)

I guess I spoke too soon, I guess I just trashed my reverse synchro. couple hundred for parts, 600 for labor. That's my luck, it didn't even sound like I broke anything, I was just backing up and stopped to go forward and couldn't get out of reverse. It still drives fine in all the forward gears....I don't consider myself ESPECIALLY hard on this car...just agressive...it's only got 86K on it.
