Hi I have a 1997 Ford Escort sport with a 5 speed manual transmission with 176000 miles on it. Just recently the timing belt went so I had to change that. Since it's been changed I've been having a loss of power during acceleration. It will start to shudder from 1st gear to 5th gear unless your at high enough rpms. It usually happens on hills or at low rpms when you try to give it some gas. It really sucks. If anyone can tell me what the problem is I would really appreciate it. I'm going to replace the spark plug wires probably tomorrow or Friday but if anyone might think that it's something else then just let me know. Thanx.
