Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default PCV replacement

i just bought a pcv valve for a 2.0L 2000' ford escort and i have a maintenance manual for it. it says the pcv valve is mounted on the crankcase vent tube. where is that at?
it shows a picture of a 1.9L and it looks like it's near some spark plug wires, but i can't find it on my 2.0L

i would appreciate any help, thanks.

I don't thinks it's not much difference from a 1.9. On top of the valve cover, follow the tube down to the front of the engine. It between the engine and rad. Just right of the exhaust.

Default where is my pcv valve?

I can't find the pcv valve, there isn't a hose going from the valve cover to the front of the engine between the radiator and engine to the right of the exhaust. I took a picture of the area, the link is below; could someone point it out to me?

I replaced my pcv valve this evening trying to solve a problem with my 99 escort. The air source for this ventilation system comes from the air cleaner housing. I see a hose attached to the air cleaner housing, on your picture, at the very bottom right corner of the picture. I would follow that hose to the pcv valve. Mine had a spring clip clamping the hose to it. It took me longer to find mine that change it out.
