95 Escort Question

Hello,

I have a 95 Escort with a 1.9 liter engine. Could anybody tell me how to change the inner tie rods? I have a general idea on how its done but want to make sure of everything before I begin. I took it to the shop this evening and they want over 500 dollars to fix them.
Ive tried searching online but didnt find much, and id rather not pay 500.00 to fix them, since the guys at the shop had the guts to tell me that the inner tie rods cost 75.00 each. I found them at auto zone for 17.99 each! Can anyone say rip-off?
