Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default What is this, and which wires does it connect to?

Hi All... I think that this is a Lambda sensor - main question is to what does it connect to? Someone has cut the wires to mine, and I cant find any loose wires anywhere around it.
It has 4 wires - 1 black, one grey and two white.

Does anyone have any pics of where it connects? Might this be a reason why my car feels rather sluggish? Its a 1997 16v 1.6 Escort.

These are the pics -

the sensor is a o2(oxygen sensor, hego sensor) you will have to look above the exhaust around the wiring harness there may be a male connector its white or green connector with 4 pins, at the end of the o2 there supose to be a female connector on it which is white or green

Ok, I found the connector on the car - it has a black/yellow wire, purple/white wire, brown wire and a white wire.
On the lambda sensor there are 2 white wires, 1 black wire and 1 grey wire.

What goes where? Any pics will definitly help!
