Ford EscortFord Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.
hi, i have a 1997 Ford Escort LX and recently the ac has been giving me some problems i can feel cold air coming out but it isn't blowing out it is just barely there same thing when i turn it to heat and i can turn up the ac but still only blows out the same. sometimes it will randomly start working for no reason. i was just parked the other day and i turned it up a noch and it worked then another noch and it didn't work and now it doesn't work again.
any help?
Afraid I'm no help but I'm having the same problem on a 98 ZX2. We're going to go completely through the system, hopefully this weekend and if we come up with anything, I'll try to let you know.
your problem is a loose wire connecting to the blower motor. had same issue with lmy escort. jiggle the wires leading to the motor. also, if coolant was leading on the motor circuit board you may have corrosion built up on the board. junk yards are a good option for picking up the electronics
