No spark No power to fuel pump after battery replacement
Ford EscortFord Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.
No spark No power to fuel pump after battery replacement
I have a '97 Mercury Tracer and I removed the battery and cleaned the terminals, added some water to the cells and put it back in. The car was running fine but now there is no power to the plugs and I cannot hear any noise from the fuel pump. The car cranks fine but doesn't fire. We checked all of the fuses near the hood release and under the hood. Then we checked the fuse block and there is no voltage at the fuse for the fuel pump. What could cause no spark and no fuel pressure after replacing the battery which cranks the car fine? Also, we pushed in the fuel pump reset button that is in the trunk.
Thanks
