Radio/Dome lights fuse keeps shorting...

I got a couple of probs with my 94 Ford Escort Wagon ...

1. This just started and we have no idea why. The fuse keeps blowing on the interior lights which also control the radio. We replace the fuse and it will last about 24-48 hours and then blows again. Any ideas?

2. I have no dash lights or heat control lights. I have checked all my fuses (and other than my interior light fuse that keeps blowing) all fuses are good. Any suggestions? It makes driving in the dark pretty difficult seeing as I can't see the speedometer and now I don't have a dome light to check it either.

Any ideas or suggestions are most welcome. I am a car repair novice so simple repairs are the best!
