Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default 01 escort stalling after its warmed up

my friend drives her car down long highway trips a lot and when she its the end of the highway and pays the toll her car stalls while waiting in line at the toll booth. she said it also has a very low and unstable idle while sitting in normal traffic

any ideas what this might be?

you probably just need to adjust the tickover to give it more of an idle rev.the idle rev on tickover should be about 1100 rpm which then it shouldnt cut out when you pull up.or your choke could be sticking on abit which can cause the revs to drop and the engine will cut out or even choke/foul the plugs hope this helps cure the problem. wayne
