Ok guys.... new to this forum. but im on feoa.net..
Situation is..
I have a 1991 EGT 5spd.. running shape.. but the body's kinda shot.
And i just acquired a 1994 LX 1.9L AUTO wagon....
Im planning on swapping the BP & tranny into the auto wagon body..
What problems do i run into??
Can anyone make me a parts list of what needs to come out of the BP and what needs to go into the LX???
I mean.. motor.. tranny... harness.. axles.. hubs.. brakes obviously..
my concern is this..
Swapping from auto to 5spd.. How do i mount the 1.8's pedals?? clutch slave cylinder??
master cylinder???
what can i reuse from the 1.9's engine bay if anything?? what woudl i have to swap out of the 1.8 to use in the 1.9 bay??
do i need to relocate anything? or do i have to swap every little thing??
Another thing... the 94 LX has an airbag.. i have an aftermarket steering wheel going in it from the EGT.. i've heard on some models.. when you disconnect the bag and pull the wheel.. everything's fine. on others.. eveyrtime you start the car after.. it beep anoyingly for 5 minutes. is there a way aroudn this???????
AND.. last but not least... does any LX come with tilt steering column?? the EGT has one... and i'd love to find one for the LX.. or if not. is there a way of swapping over?? I've got precidia seats.. and when i had them in the GT with the stock wheel it felt like a schoolbus.. even with tilt...
