Default Escort ZX2 stalls when hard braking
I brake it hard and it stalls if I brake it lightly it doesn't stall? Mechanic says 1000 to fix! What is the problem?

Sounds like a problem with the brake booster. What did your mechanic say was wrong?

have yet to let one of those blood suckers check it out. Other than the brake booster what could it be? and is it possible for me to 'troubleshoot' to figure out whether or not if its the brake booster?

lol i mean my friend who works on cars a lot says it's probably the transmission and it will cost a grand. it was his deduction without the fancy equipment etc. i can work on cars but i dont' have the skill of diagnosis.
