 97 Ford Escort Intermittant Starting Problem
97 Ford Escort wagon having a starting problem. Car was running fine and starting up pretty good n then one day it did not crank. Turned the key several times and it started up, every now and then it didn't turn overand you would hear the door locks move up and down. Replaced the starter with a rebuilt and sometimes it turns over sometimes not. I can hear the bendix drive shoot out but it cranks when it wants to. Checked the wiring and it seems fine. I bought a strarter relay switch (small black square type) but don't know where its located on car. Is there one in this car? I think the motor was replaced some time ago. Any help out there, really appreciate some input. |
