Ford Escort Ford Escort ZX2 is a hot-looking compact coupe with a rakish design. Yet its handsome interior reveals a roomy back seat and surprisingly large trunk. ZX2 provides responsive handling and good road manners and its engine delivers decent power. At the same time, the ZX2 is a practical car, with plenty of room in the back seats for friends.

Default 1991 ford escort 4 door hatchback 1.9L

Hello,
I just purchased this car because my 2000 escort died. It is old & ratty, with 177,000 miles on it. It gets me from point a to b until I can afford something better. Can anyone tell me what other year(s) escort parts would work on this 91 escort? I am looking for a spare tire & jack, drivers side sun visor, and the lifts for the hatchback.

Thank you,
Janet

'91-96 are mostly all the same.

Hello,

I swear that your talking about my escort. It is a '91 automatic with about 178,000 miles. It's ugly as sin but, drives great and get great gas mileage. I have had to replace the brakes, tires and the thermostat on the car and I will tell you that the parts are dirt cheap at most auto stores. I would beware of buying at junk yards as Ford made the car with the most inexpensive parts possible. It is likely that many of the parts, with the exception of some of the sensors, will be outlived from a junkyard. If you do insist on using parts from a junkyard then I will tell you that most parts from '91-'96 are about the same just try to stay with a 1.9L or 1.8L depending on which size motor you have. Most are 1.9L in the range of those years.
