Ford Excursion In terms of size, the Ford Excursion is the king of big sport-utilities. Supremely stable at speed, it feels safe and secure on the open highway. Whether you have a lot of cargo to carry, a bunch of people to transport, a big trailer to pull, or all of the above, the Excursion is ready for whatever you throw its way. It can tow up to 11,000 pounds and seat 8-9.

Default Computer Module

I just purchased a 2005 Diesel Excursion and I need to reprogram the key pad on the driver's door. I read in the owners manual that the factory combination is on the computer module. Does anyone know where I can find the computer module?

Thanks for the help!
Rich

I would like to know, too! We just bought a 2003 Excursion, and the card with the number and books are not with it.

The Code for the 2005 is on the module behind the radio. You can access it with a mirror and a flashlight if you lay on your back on the driver side. You can also pull the radio and you will be staring at the code. I used a mirror I bought at Advanced auto parts with flash light and it took me five minutes to find the code and test it . I have been told that the older codes are around the steering column and you need to look for a five digit number. It is under there, so good luck.
