Ford ExcursionIn terms of size, the Ford Excursion is the king of big sport-utilities. Supremely stable at speed, it feels safe and secure on the open highway. Whether you have a lot of cargo to carry, a bunch of people to transport, a big trailer to pull, or all of the above, the Excursion is ready for whatever you throw its way. It can tow up to 11,000 pounds and seat 8-9.
These are just my thoughts that I thought I would pass along.
I recently was wanting to add an edge evolution with juice, magnaflow exhaust, cold air intake and upgrade my turbocharger, which was not working right. I called pmtdiesel.com and wasn't all that happy with the way the person was talking to me.....I am not a mechanic and do not know a whole lot about this stuff, so I was asking a lot of questions, which I guess he thought were stupid questions. He talked to me that way! The cost of everything was the best price I had found at that time. Since I am a person that owns my own business, I wanted to have quality service, even if I paid a little more for the product. I called many different companies, until I called XDP(xtremediesel.com), which offered everything for $5 less (not a big deal) and overnight shipping for free.
I talked to a guy named Jeff, who really took the time to explain things to me. I told him what I was trying to do and we came up with the best set-up for that. He told me that if I placed the order that he could get everything to me overnight. I was unable to place the order right then. It was a Thursday and I called back and placed the order on Monday. Evidently, everything I wanted was now out of stock, so I was told it would be 7-10 days before I received everything. This was April 20th! As of right now, I have not received everything and it is May 17th.
I found out that the cold air intake hasn't come in yet and the turbocharger would not be in until the end of June. I had to call them to find this out. What they did not tell me is that the turbocharger I ordered was recalled. I found that out when I called another company to finish my order. Now, the recall is not heir fault, but not letting me know the problem is. If they have been recalled, then I need to order another one, so it would make sense to tell me, so I can order another one. Also, they could have called me to let me know that it would be more than 7-10 days, especilly when it should have been overnight.
I have called them numerous times, and it seems that they do not want to help me at all. At this time, my truck is all apart and waiting for the new turbo. I have been renting a truck to use, because it is the truck I use to pull my work trailer. The cold air intake isn't in and they do not want to do anything price wise, because now it is not part of the package I ordered. The other turbo they sell is $500 more than the one I ordered and they don't want to do anything about that either.
Again, this is everything that has happened to me and are my thoughts, but to this point, I would not reccommend xtremediesel to anyone. If something changes and they rectify my situation, I will be more than happy to let everyone know, but I doubt they can make up for the cost I have encountered with renting a truck. I guess a we will see. I will keep everyone informed.

So no help from xtremediesel. I found another company that builds their own turbo's, but uses mostly Garrett stuff, just for a lot less. Compturbo.com is sending it out today for the price of the bd power turbo.....$1280. It is the upgraded turbo with a 1.0 turbine housing and 88 mm compressor wheel.
Again, this is what happened to me and I do not reccommend companies that make promises, then do nothing to make things right.
