Default Battery light on sometimes
Headlights will dim for a few seconds, gauge will drop accordingly, then come back to normal. Has also shown overcharge for a few seconds (thought I was going to fry all of my lights) alternator and battery are new, no codes. Is this a ground issue?

Could be ground issue. Not unusual to get a bad battery or alternater that are "brand new" Best advice is to drive it to an Autozone, they will check the charging system for free. Have them also see if there are any stored codes. GOOD LUCK
