Default 6.0 coolant leaks out of cap

I have had my 04 Ex in the shop 3 times for this. Everytime I check my fluids I notice that the coolant has been leaking out of the catch can cap. The dealer installed a new one but it still does it. I expressed my concern to them that it might be a head gasket pressurizing the cooling system, they said no. It is now out of warranty. I have it doccumented as a pre existing condition so I should be covered. Any sugestions?

You wouldn't be the first to have a head gasket pop on a 6 oh....especially the first couple years (yours).
You might be able to force them to fix it if the documentation shows it. You need proof of maintaining the cooing system. The wrong coolant or lack of the diesel coolant additive (DCA) will void the warranty........I've seen blow head gaskets, pin holes in the cylinder liners + other parts of the cooling system, ie. front engine cover, from not using the additive.
Good luck..

Yea I am aware of the head gasket failure tendancy. That is why I was trying to lean on them in that direction. The dealer said it fine. I but i'm keeping a close eye on it. I get no smoke out of the exhuast or no resudue in the oil or coolant. If it is the head gasket it must be very small.
