I spent a few hours replacing my fuel injector on my 2004 Ford Excursion. I pulled off the valve cover, which was the hardest part. The back two bolts where a bit tough to get to. I went through the wheel well ,and used a snubby wrench. I think a 1/4 inch wobble will be the way to go when I put the new injector back in. The oil rail was kind of hard to get to the 8mm bolts also.Ford could of given us a bit more room. I have never done anything like this on a diesel,so I think the time I spent was not to bad. I am still a bit nervous about the rest of the job.I think it will be ok though.I hope the intstall will go smooth. |
