Ford Excursion In terms of size, the Ford Excursion is the king of big sport-utilities. Supremely stable at speed, it feels safe and secure on the open highway. Whether you have a lot of cargo to carry, a bunch of people to transport, a big trailer to pull, or all of the above, the Excursion is ready for whatever you throw its way. It can tow up to 11,000 pounds and seat 8-9.

Default Super Duty Windows Sraping

Almost every Super Duty I've ever seen has scrapes on the outside of the windows, especially the drivers since thats the one that gets used the most and its from the weather stripping that keeps out dirt and rain. I new this before I bought my 05' Excursion so every time I washed my truck I made sure to clean that seal that the window drags on so the window wouldn't have to scrape against dirt. But my windows are all scraped up still and especially the drivers side, its getting to be where its hard to see out my mirror through the window. And I know every car has some sort of seal there but I don't notice any other cars with their windows like this just the Super Duties. Has there ever been any recalls or will Ford do something about this, is there any aftermarket weather stripping out there for this problem? My local Ford dealer says I must have gotten mud or something in there and then used the window. I do go offroading but like I said I knew about this problem before I purchased so I'm always cautious about using my windows until I wash the truck after off roading.
