| steering wheel slop 2000 excursion I have a 2000 excursion. I replaced all the ball joints, steering links etc. I have some slop in the steering wheel. I was told there might be some type of pressure valve that might be the problem. Has anybody had this problem or know what might be wrong?
Thanks in advance. |

| If you've replaced the ball joints, tie rod ends, inner tie rod, and checked for loose steering gear bolts, then there are only a few other alternatives: 1) Loose, worn, or damaged steering column bearings. 2) Worn steering gear. 3) Loose, worn or damaged lower steering column shaft U-joints.
How many miles on this beast? |

| Hi,
I bought my 2005 2wd Gas Excursion in July, NEW! I love the truck but my wife hates driving the sloppy steering. I can’t argue with her, it is bad.
I’ve ordered these from a very nice guy and will let you know in a few weeks how it goes.
Good luck,

| My 2000 Diesel 4x4 Excursion steering sucks too. It only has 64,000 miles on it also. !!
My Wifes "new" 2006 Chevy Uplander steering sucks as well. Todays Tech. has not learned anything from the past. |
