Default Transmission problem?

Have a 2000 Limited diesel and my wife ran partly over a faucet and pipe sticking up in our yard. I filed on my insurance, and the Ford dealer repair shop replaced the radiator and the front bumper and a few minor pieces. The transmission cooler line was crimped but barely so. They did not replace it. After the repairs were completed, we started to observing a problem. First thing in the morning when the engine is cool, when putting the tranny in reverse, the engine will hesitate and the jump RPM up and jerk the truck backwards. It does this intermittently and shows NO code. Sunday, it did it in drive and jumped about 8 feet forward. Ford dealer says air cleaner was dirty and the engine was choking down. Bah humbug. Air cleaner was not dirty and the engine races UP not Down. Has anyone here ever experienced this and if so what was done or what was discovered causing the jump in RPM along with momentary tranny hesitation? Any help will be appreciated.
