Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

I know there are places by me that install them for $250.00 Here in Cleveland... I'm shure the dealers have a factory one for much more... I had a Omega Mars 22 On my 1997 Expedition... And it worked flawless... Just my 2 cents

You will need a compatible remote starter and a PATS(?) by-pass kit to bypass the transponder key. I used a TB-300. You will also need a spare key that is programmed for the vehicle. You will need to cut the blade off of this key to ensure it can't be used to start the truck as it stays in the by-pass module inside the vehicle.
Remember that you need at least two keys that are cut and programmed and start your vehicle in order to program a third key without paying Ford and arm and a dink to program it for you. I always have three keys programmed in case I lose one. Ford charges over $50 CDN to program the key after you've paid about that much for the blank. But if you already have two, you program the third, yourself, for free. Sorry about the longwinded response...
Hope that sheds some light!
PS - you will need a wiring diagram and a lot of patients ; )

I would like to understand more about the 3 keys. I have the two mine came with, but didn't get a third because of the cut and programming cost. How do you get a blank and program it yourself?

The brand Compustar/Firstar has an immobilzer bypass module that does not require a key. I believe for all Expo's the ADT-STB will work they just require a different firmware flash during installation. 2002&1/2 and up WILL require two keys to program the mod, but no key needs to be installed in the vehicle.

Also, FYI if the KEYED bypass module is installed correctly, the ignition interrupt of the remote starter should prevent the vehicle from being started if the key is removed from the "box" without properly removing the module.
