Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Cool 2000 Expedition Remote Starter Install Help

Morning!

New, just registered. . . . I have a few questions about a remote starter on a 2000 Eddie Bauer Expedition.

Does anyone else have one installed? I attempted to install a scytek 5000rs, and I have everything working except the remote starter?

I'm pretty sure I made all the proper connections, followed the diagram on Diagrams for the ford expedition.

Fails to start, doesn't turn over........I'm so lost..... If anyone could help that would be awesome because I'm trying to AVOID a trip to the dealer or similar!! I can provide pictures and such if necessary...

Default Immobilzer

First of all I hate to ask this, but did you use an immobilizer bypass module and if so which one?

I've had quite a few issues with these trucks in the past as the factory immobilizer collar is pretty wimpy and easily broken during installation of the module. The ones available from compustar or firstar (keyless style) are hardwired in, but will literally go up in smoke if they are not flashed with the proper program, and the older (cheaper) version from DEI never really functioned properly.
