Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default 2004 brakes and rotors

I have a 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Baurer (39k mls) that I purchased in 07. I took the vehichle in for service and they told me I need back brakes and rotors w/less than 5k put on it since driving under regular conditions. The dealer sold me the vehicle with the brakes barely passing inspection is my guest. On the issue of the dealer selling the truck with bad or worn rotors and brakes, I'd take any recommendation. My reason for also finding this forum is locating web sites that sell rotors /parts for my truck at great prices incase I can do it myself. I have replaced brakes on cars before but not ABS. I'd appreciate anyones responce.

Is it the SAME dealership u bought this SUV from? If so ask to speak to the service manager, tell him u just bought the SUV there and he needs to get with the Used Car Manager and "make it right".

Let us know if this is the case. Otherwise, just get u some good made in the USA rotors and some Hawk performance pads, u can do it urself it sounds like to me. Just undo the bleeder screws when u press the bake caliper pistons back down (so u don't damage ur ABS module). Then top off ur brake fluid if needed...

Yes it is the same dealer. The Vice President, Customer Relations emailed me back and said that she would send my complaint to the service manager. I sent her a email after she sent me a "how was the service" email. I told her I want the owners direct number, not the sale person who sold me the car. So we'll see were that goes, and thanks TBIRD430 I'll take your advice on the service manager and the brakes and rotors issue if I can't get anywhere with the dealer. Great advice!

This dealer should cover the repairs IMO. They SHOULD stand behind the used vehicle service inspections they employ. These used vehicles are supposed to meet certain standards before they are moved to the used vehicle lot to sale. Keep us posted, this should be an "easy fight" for u.
