Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default 1998 expedition 5.4

I have a question, I recently acquired a 98 Expedition 5.4 XLT 2WD . The passenger side mirror is gone. I see 4 wires sticking out of the housing for the passenger side mirror. I was wondering if it is equip with heated mirror or not. The driver side is in tact and I don't see "Heated" on the driver side, I was told that the driver side mirror had been replaced in the past too. I guess my main question is that if my suv didn't come with heated mirror but are the connector or wires there already that can I get a set of heated mirror and plug it in and have heated mirror . The same goes with the mirror flasher, is the car pre wired and are the connections the same. thanx
Tom

Have ur local Ford Dealer Parts Dept. decode ur VIN#. Then u will know what ur SUV came with. I'm pretty sure these Ford's are NOT prewired so u can add heated or turn signal mirrors to a non-equiped vehicle, sorry.
