Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default Vibration 5.4 Mtrs.

my '05 Expo started having this very slight vibration at idle, about the same time i got a factory recall letter about bad fuel injectors...i took it to the dealer....after $75, because the injetors were fine, i still had a rough idle,...they told me a lot of 5.4 three valve motors were having this issue....is anybody else having this problem??....thanks, dmac

When was the last time you had a tune-up?

The 3 valve is very sensitive to oil changes, valve timing components have a very small orfices and if they gum up can cause rough idle.

the tune up and this suggestion are both good ideas, thanks...
tbird, the service notice is for bad fuel injectors...they said mine were fine. Because of the off idle, i figured that was probably what was wrong....they said a lot of 5.4 motors had this small vibration at idle and it was normal?
the truck has 55K miles on it and i didn't think i'd need a tune up yet....you think the plugs need changing already?.....dmac

At 55,000 miles I'd pull a plug or two out and take a look at em.

Well that 100K spark plug and coolant change thing only applies to perfect "operating conditions". I bet 90% of us don't live in that imaginary world. LOL!! I agree pull 2-3 plugs out and inspect them. I would also recommend u start adding a bottle of the Chevron Fuel System treatment at every oil change, that should help her stay clean internally....
