Please Help Me With My 93 Ranger!!!

I have a 93 ranger xlt 4x4 with the 4.0 liter V6. The engine and transmition were rebuilt shortly before i purchased it 3 years ago. It's run excellently since I've owned it. however on a trip home to Nevada from Texas my heater hose exploded emptying my radiator and rapidly overheating the engine. i was able to fix the hose and refill the radiator, but the truck wouldn't start. i got towed back to Nevada and now my truck is just sitting in my driveway. there was some milky white substance in the oil which I've been told means that some water or coolant made it's way in there, but that seems to have all dissipated. a friend suggested that i clean out the distributer and recharge the battery, neither of which helped. it sounds like it's turning over but it won't start. if anyone has any other advice or knows what could be wrong i would greatly appreciate the assistance. thank you.

Hrmmmmmm i am not to sure what that would be have u checked ur plugs becuase u might of fouled ur spark plugs with the over heat and what i would try doing if u allready havent compression start it if its standard but anywho if u try this give me a tell allright?.

Hi there.
Rangerman is right. I would first of all check compression, then check if you have spark at the plugs. Overheating can do lots of damage that may not be visible from the outside.
The "milky substance" was oil mixed with water, which would tell you that you blew the headgasket or cracked a head. The compression test will show the problem.

chances are pretty good u blew a head gasket, wouldn't even bother with anything else. other possibilities cracked or warped head. wouldn't just change the gaskets without having heads checked.
