Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default Resetting Service Engine Light

Does anyone know how to reset the service engine light I disconnected the negative and positive battery cables for 30 mins and still I have the service engine light on ? I do have a little bit of white smoke coming out of my exhaust with the P0171 Bank1&2 System too lean error. My wife had driven the truck til 10 miles to empty before she filled it up . She cant remember if it happened before she fille dup or right after. This isnt the first time she had run the truck on fuel really low like this. Could this havew triggere this error codes? The chart that Bronco Joe gave me shows a cause of low fuel pressure or running out of fuel. Thanks for everyones replies. I really appreciate it. Im in the army and they dont pay very well so Im scared to see how much they will charge me at the dealership to diagnose this problem. Thanks again guys

Recheck the codes. If they come back on after you disconnect the battery it is a hard fault and can not be cleared without repairing the problem.

If the light really irritates you, get a 20 gauge shotgun and try to aim very precisely at light. Make sure you do not hit other lights. LOL
