Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Question Have my COPs been replaced? (pics)

I haven't had my truck very long, so I'm starting to notice some things lately, like this little yellow spots on top of each one of my coils, does that mean that they have been replaced at some point? or is that the way they come from Ford?. Thanks in advance.

I would guess those are the OEM copacs due to the Motorcraft label on them. Not sure who makes the aftermarket ones, let me see what I can find out.

Those are original the replacement motorcraft coils just have white lettering of the part number and build date. The aftermarket ones I have seen are just plain black shiny or dull/scratched where they etched the motorcraft numbers off.

Thumbs up

I thank you guys for the response. but what I meant to say is that... if they were replaced with OEM parts would they still mark them with those yellow spots?... in other words, do they come like that from factory? thanks again.
