Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default Wiring Up an Aftermarket GPS System

Hi. I have recently purchased the iWay 500c GPS and MP3 Player. I was interested in hardwiring the system to my 2001 Ford Expedition (for audio output). The instruction manual for the iWay says to connect the provided wiring to the auxiliary line input on the back of the car radio. To my knowledge this vehicle's radio does not have such an input, and thus my question: is there any way to hardwire my GPS system into the cars stereo, without buying any adapters or things like that?

Although I have an idea that may work, with a little assistance. I have the factory Rear Entertainment System, and it is an option to route the audio from the VCR to the speakers, simply by tuning into 88.7 on the FM Radio. I am almost 100% positive that this is not done with an FM transmitter, and so I would like to know how they make this possible (directly wired somewhere?). If it is wired directly, couldn't I simply attach my system to those, and be able to listen via FM 88.7? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

-Karl
