Ford ExpeditionTrue expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.
Hi, I could use some help in diagnosing what is starting to fail..Every so often, more and more often as time goes on, I get a sound from what seems to be behind the 4wd switch on the dash. It sounds like a chattering relay, but sometimes it sounds like 5 or 6 chattering relays all at once. Nothing is malfunctioning as far as I can tell. Just the noise, it doesn't seem to matter if it is hot or cold or wet or dry, bumps don't matter, sometimes it does this when the truck is off sitting in the driveway, with nobody in it. ? One mechanic I spoke to thought maybe it was a common ground post for the relays. My problem with that is I couldn't find a ground post and that seems it would cause a failure of systems at times. I have read some threads about the GEM, could this be the dreaded gem? If so, where is it, how do I check it, and how much do they cost?
