Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default 2000 expo miss at 1,800 rpm

Ok been chasing a miss all plugs and boots changed ,coils changed one #8. Had a bad idle now runs great got a code saying ignition misfire and it will only do it from 1,800 to 2000 rpm drops to 1200 then back up to 2000 that fast. Hold idle at 3000 or even 2500 and works great.Changed out the crank sensor and also the cam sensor 4.6 motor and still does it any ideas........

I'm at a loss. If it has been over a year or 12-15k, change out the fuel filter (it can't hurt).

Might just be a loose wire/connector/corrosion (or something) problem somewhere. I had a problem for a year on another vehicle that popped a MAP code but most of the time didn't have much if any symptoms. When there were some symptoms, they then seemed to go away..

Finally got ugly & lost power on the highway so got the MAP sensor (for nothing..) & when I went to change it, it was clear the connector was not fully pressed in & mostly just hanging there from the set the wires took over time.

Pushed the connector in tight & the problems & code went away.

Always good to sniff around & rule out stuff that is easy, to get to the problem.

That's crazy & lousy service too. Certainly can be difficult finding qualified people to fix car these days
