Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default So, are changing Ford brakes as easy as GM and Dodge?

I've done plenty of Dodge and GM before, but I've never owned a Ford before.

Any tips, or is it just as easy?

Oh damn, any idea what size? I know I don't own any of the big ones. I guess I'll have to buy a set.

It can't be a T7. That is a very small bit. Most cellphones come apart with a T6.

Some vehicle with rear discs require a special tool to retract the piston into the caliper. Most large auto parts stores have tool loan programs and they will have this tool.

Just as easy as any other car. Any good tool box should have Torx Bits in them anyway.

Just went out side to look on my expedition but the biggest size i have at home is t40 and its too small so im guessin t 45 or 50. But hey just buy a set and there ya go.

I barrowed a set. It's a T45, well at least the one side was. The other side takes a weird "round" bit. Yeah, they were stripped out. Funny thing is, the stripped side was Allen head, metric at that. I could see it on one of them. I had to buy a replacement pack of 4 bolts and 4 bushings for $18.

Channel locks got the rounded ones off.

I wasn't ready for 2 pistons. My usual C-clamp trick was foiled. So I used one of the old pads and C-clamped the pistons back in.

Weird thing, one side looked almost new, while the other was touching the indicator. The worn side was the stripped side. I wonder if they couldn't get them off, so they just changed one side.
