Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

The door lock actuators get "weak" with age.

If you have the time and patience, they can be rebuilt. Search around this web site as somewhere there are detailed instructions.

In expensive replacements are available on eBay ($41 for pair of fronts)

Check to see if the rivets that hold the actuators to the door haven't broken loose. I found that that has happened to me a couple of times. They are just aluminum rivets at the lower rear part of the door. Look for the rivet head there if gone then you'll have to take the door apart and either rerivet or bolt it back to the door.

OK Im going to start with taking the buttom off and cleaning the contact first. I heard it click once or twice since then and now wondering if its a bad contact. The forum also mentioned a bad wire in the door jam and ill also lok at the actuators as mentioned above. Thanks
