passenger side door panel removal

2 part question - (1) have issue with passenger side front seat window. Will not go up or down, sounds like the motor works and mechanism goes up and down, but window is off track. Before coming off track, the speed of opening and closing was extremely slow. (2) want to investigate myself so, how do you remove the door panel to get to the guts?

These are generic instructions as all door panels are applied pretty much the same way.

There are 3 - 5 screws that lock the panel to the door. They hide them well, so look carefully; in the door latch, in the arm rest, behind the cover where the side view mirror bolts on. Rear doors, (especially vans) you may have to remove the top plastic trim panel.

Slide the panel up. If it won't go, you missed 1 or more screws. The panel simply slides up and then off.
