2000 Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition - Front Air Shocks I just bought new air shocks for the front of the truck and I have a manual which I read but I would like to know if anyone knows how to remove the air line and how to disconnect the height sensor?
It sounds simple but it doesn't look it. The manual mentions four important steps: 1. Turn off the air suspension system - switch located near the right kick panel. 2. Disconnect the positive battery cable. 3. Disconnect the upper end of the front height sensor from the upper frame bracket behind and above the left shock. 4. Firmly push in a red ring on the shock body and pull out the air line.
I'm okay with steps 1 and 2 but a little confused about steps 3 and 4. The manual doesn't show me where the front height sensor is and I don't see a red ring on the shock body, new or old.
I would appreciate some help.
