Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Unhappy ford expedition air conditioning trouble

i have 2 problems, first how do you recharge the a.c unit. the kit i bought from auto zone is to small to fit on charge port.

2nd when i turn my a.c on it will flow from the vents, then with no warning start blowing from the defrost vents, can anyone help me.

one last thing my heater heats up, but only blows warm air help here will be greatly appreciated 2.

might go back to autozone and see if they can help you figure out if you need any adapters to charge the a/c system.

a friend of mine had a problem with his a/c blowing from the vents also. if i remember correctly there is ' T ' junction for rubber hoses behind/beside the battery under the hood. he was told to check the lines due to the hoses sometimes rub on the battery or something and the hole in the line causes the vaccum to hold the flap to control air going to the dash/defrost vents/floor to not stay on the setting you want.

not sure about the heater thing unless that could be tied in with the answer to your 2nd problem.

good luck

when trying to add coolant, you will want to find the LOW-pressure fitting.....

not one here will volunteer that info (except to say that it is by the firewall). You are probably trying to add to the high side and the connector is a no go.

check
Answer

to find lo pressure recharge valve: 1. Locate transmission oil fill tube handle on engine risht side 2. Valve is about 2 inches up and 3 inches towards firewall from this handle on the accumulator; under and behind a few wiring harness connections. Don't give up...It is there. It is well camouflaged!
